Do you struggle with pride? God has recently showed me that pride doesn't just have to be outward you know the guy whose macho who thinks he's big and bad. Or the person who thinks they're better than everyone else. Pride can also be inward like you think you need more recognition than you get, and nobody sees just how truely talented and gifted you are. I have battled with this problem for years and God showed me how to battle against it. The first scripture he put in my head that just kept coming (you know how the Holy Spirit does that!) Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition (pride) or conceit, but in lowliness (humble) of mind let each esteem (treat) others better than himself. And then I have been teaching and studying the book of Acts and the life of Paul the Apostle. Paul states several times that he is a servant of Jesus Christ like Romans 1:1 From Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ and the word Servant in Greek means- a slave, bondman, one who gives himself up to another's will, devoted to another to the disregard of one's own interests. May Jesus help us to be true servants for Him and His Glory! Can you imagine how much better this world would be if every Christian was a servant of Christ people who serve God and serve others? If you happen to share with my struggle with inward pride I encourage you to start battling against it by becoming a Servant for Jesus and having a servant heart and then He'll set you free as John 8:36 says So if the Son sets you free, you will be absolutely free. God bless
Yohn

You know I can't very likely comment on your blog when you are sitting right there next to me, or even read it for that matter :0)
One more thing to add on that topic. Prayer is humbling yourself before God so if you fail to pray each day you are basically walking in pride, whether you intend to be or not. How's that for a hard pill to swallow?
