A Hard Saying

John 6:53-71 53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
59These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
60Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
61When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
62What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
66From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
69And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
70Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

What does it mean to eat Jesus flesh and drink His blood? Was he talking about cannibalism? No way! When looking at this passage we need to remember verse 63 "the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life". Jesus used earthly things to convey His heavenly teachings. This passage might make some wonder and scratch their heads. But it's good to go over the hard sayings of the Bible and see what we believe. Jesus wasn't talking about literally eating Him and drinking His blood, He was talking about having a real vibrant relationship with Him. In John chapter 1 it says the word was made flesh, so to eat His flesh is to take in His word the Bible by reading, studying, meditating, listening, and talking about it. And to drink His blood means to have His blood cover us and cleanse us from all our sins. We need to partake of Christ's flesh and blood daily not just at a communion service, and to have Him living inside of us so that we're going where He wants us to go and doing what He wants us to do. I challenge everyone who reads this to let Jesus live inside of you and take complete controll. I have been His servant for 17 years and as each day, month, year passes (too quickly!) I love Him more and more.

Fall In Love With Jesus

Below is a sermon I preached this morning, my hearts prayer is that we may fall madly and desperately in Love with the Lover of our soul Jesus Christ! May this sermon encourage and challenge you

Yohn

Love-a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person/to have a strong liking for; take great pleasure in

Introduction- I looked up the word Love on google and there were About 2,380,000,000 it covered anything from loving a person, place, or thing. Love is horribly misunderstood in our word. The world says that if you love me you have to do something for me, and I can love you one day but not the next. God’s love is true, always there, and pure

1. He Loves Us

a. Even before we knew Him

Romans 5:8 But God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners. while we were of no use whatever to him.

b. His love is real and true

1 John 4:10 This is what real love is: It is not our love for God; it is God's love for us in sending his Son to be the way to take away our sins.

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

2. I Choose To Love Him

a. With all of me

Matthew 22:37 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind

b. Our love must be real

Romans 12:9 Your love must be real. Hate what is evil, and hold on to what is good.

Conclusion- I encourage you this morning to fall madly in love with Jesus, by walking with Him, and talking with Him, and listening to Him. He’s here with us this morning let Him have all of you!

A Servant Heart

Do you struggle with pride? God has recently showed me that pride doesn't just have to be outward you know the guy whose macho who thinks he's big and bad. Or the person who thinks they're better than everyone else. Pride can also be inward like you think you need more recognition than you get, and nobody sees just how truely talented and gifted you are. I have battled with this problem for years and God showed me how to battle against it. The first scripture he put in my head that just kept coming (you know how the Holy Spirit does that!) Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition (pride) or conceit, but in lowliness (humble) of mind let each esteem (treat) others better than himself. And then I have been teaching and studying the book of Acts and the life of Paul the Apostle. Paul states several times that he is a servant of Jesus Christ like Romans 1:1 From Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ and the word Servant in Greek means- a slave, bondman, one who gives himself up to another's will, devoted to another to the disregard of one's own interests. May Jesus help us to be true servants for Him and His Glory!   Can you imagine how much better this world would be if every Christian was a servant of Christ people who serve God and serve others? If you happen to share with my struggle with inward pride I encourage you to start battling against it by becoming a Servant for Jesus and having a servant heart and then He'll set you free as John 8:36 says So if the Son sets you free, you will be absolutely free. God bless

Let Feedom Ring!

The famous song "America" or "My Country Tis Of Thee" starts out with these famous lyrics

My country,' tis of thee,

sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing;

land where my fathers died,

land of the pilgrims' pride,

from every mountainside let freedom ring!

Freedom is a concept everyone can relate to and desires take a look at these quotes down through the years

Gve me liberty, or give me death!- Patrick Henry

Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves. -Abraham Lincoln

Liberty is the right to choose, freedom is the result of that choice. -Unknown Source

"Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!" - Martin Luther King Jr.

They may take our lives, but they'll never take our FREEDOM!! -William Wallace (from the movie braveheart)

Jesus said in John 8  Verse 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free, and
Verse 36 So if the Son makes you free, you will be truly free. Let Jesus set you free today! Freedom from what you might be asking yourself good question! Freedom from fear, this world is a scary place. Freedom from sin, (Lust, Anger, Greed, Pride, etc...) you know the one that you just can't seem to stop or give up ask Jesus for His help and He'll help you! He spilled His precous blood out and died a brutal death on the cross in order to make you free and bring you to Him. He is only a prayer away! Once we experience His freedom we're not the same and we can truely say like this song I am free!

I am free

I am free to run

I am free to run

I am free to dance

I am free to dance

I am free to live for you

I am free to live for you

I am free

I am free

Yes I am free

Greatest Testimony

Awhile back someone I was working with shared their testimony with me. This person said that they didn't have much of a testimony because they never drank, did drugs..etc . After hearing this it made me think that this is one of the best testimony's that anyone could have. The fact that you were wise enough not to do drugs, drink, have sex before you were married etc.. is awesome! You don't have to do all the things the world does to have an awesome testimony. The greatest testimony that anyone can have is a person who gave their heart to Jesus at an early age, been in church their whole life, and is trusting Jesus with the rest of their life!

I don't not have this testimony and maybe you don't, maybe you did everything you were not suppost to, was against God, wern't even looking for him, neither was I and Jesus came and rescued you and made you whole, me too! Let's continue to walk in His love and grace.

This message is to encourage those of you that do and also to look forward to the future with our kids. Let's do our part to give our kids this testimony may they know Jesus all their life, may they never experience the darkness of this world (drugs, alcohal, porn etc...) May they be a generation that is holy and spotless
2 Peter 3:14  be eager to be found by Him [at His coming] without spot or blemish. Amen and Amen!

Sin Has No Limits

I have been thinking a lot lately about how sin really is. It is called "dung" Philippians 3:8 KJV. And something God HATES! Matter of fact if a sin where to be in His presece God would destroy it! But also this thought accured to me that sin always leads downward, and when you say that I'll do this sin and go no farther the more you practice it the more you have to set aside the standards that you set. Take for example alcohal. You first start out trying it because of your friends "peer presure" and you stop after 1 or 2 drinks and you tell yourself that you will stop at 2 drinks and that you'll never be a alcohalic because you can stop when ever you want. But then your friend asks if you've ever gotta buzz and so you end up telling yourself that you can have a few more drinks than 2 maybe 4 or 5 what will it hurt? It's not like your a drunk you only drink around your friends. The buzz felt pretty good last time so it's the middle of the week and Saturday is too far away, so you tell yourself just this once that you can drink a few to relax and gett a buzz but next week you'll wait tell Saturday with your friends. On and on the cycle goes adding 1 more day telling yourself that you'll go no farther and that you can stop whenever you want. Fist it was just with friends and for diferent events like Birthday partys now your drinking every day and any event will do, you start to make up events like today is your Aunts Birthday so you need to drink to celebrate her life even though you don't like her very much and haven't seen her for 20 years. Pretty soon your drinking so much that you loose your job and a lot of your friends and family don't want to be around you because you get out of control when your drunk. So you can see by just this one example the downward spiral of sin it always leads you farther than you wanna go, and takes you farther than you wanna go. On a possitive note Jesus is the answer to this problem as Romans 7:25a says Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord and Romans 8:1-2 says So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2For the power  of the life-giving Spirit has freed you  through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death. Let Jesus set you free friend and you'll be free indeed John 8:36
